Dr. Rick Strelan
I am an ordained Lutheran minister, graduating from Luther Seminary, North
Adelaide in 1969. I received my PhD from the University of Queensland in 1995
for a thesis on 'Paul, Jews and Artemis in Ephesus', which was later published
by de Gruyter [1996]. I have lectured in New Testament and Early Christianity in
the Department of Studies in Religion in the University of Queensland since
1995, teaching courses in Greek, in the Dead Sea Scrolls, in the NT, and in the
pseudepigrapha and apocrypha of both Jewish and Christian literature. I have
published articles in recent years in NTS, NovTest, ZNW, and JSP. My research
interests are in the Acts of the Apostles.
I am married to Joy and have two adult children, Charla and Rochelle.
