Ken Penner is a PhD student in the Religious Studies department of McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada, majoring in Early Judaism and minoring in Early Christianity. At Regent College in 1998 he completed a Master of Christian Studies degree in Biblical Languages (Hebrew, Greek, Aramaic, Latin), with a Greek focus. Ken completed his second Master's degree at McMaster in 2000, writing on Second Temple Hebrew poetics using a case study in the Thanksgiving poetry of the Dead Sea Scrolls

(1QHa). He met his wife Linda at Regent College, and they now have two young sons.
